RECENT STUDIO HAPPENINGS:We love sharing good news and lots of good stuff has been happening in the past few months! Brad and Katy were both accepted into the 91st Annual Phillips Mill (Pennsylvania) Juried Art Show, which was held in September and October. Brad's watercolour ROLLING ROCK (Watercolour, 15-1/2 x 29-1/4 inches, shown at the top of this newsletter) received the Kathy Schroeher and Jim Clare Memorial Award. Katy was very pleased to have her work GHOST PUMPKIN AND TAPESTRY chosen for the cover of ICON magazine's October issue. Thank you to the team at ICON for promoting original art! |
Brad’s watercolour WHITE BELL was juried into, and received the top watercolour award, The Mary Bryan Memorial Award for Watercolor at the 87th Annual Exhibition of the Hudson River Art Association at the Lyme Art Association in Old in Old Lyme, Connecticut, which was held from June through August of 2020. Brad’s watercolour WINTER AT THE CHAD HOUSE, and Katy's oil painting TIME CAPSULE have been accepted into Cero Gallery's (Florida) "The Great American Paint In", which is currently running on-line. There was an article about Brad entitled “Preserving History Through Painting” in the September issue of Chadds Ford (Pennsylvania) Neighbors magazine. An article about Katy entitled "Bringing a Deeper Meaning to Still Life Art" appeared in the August issue of Realism Today. Five of her still life oil paintings were featured in the article. As part of the June 24th, 2020, edition in preparation for Independence Day, three of Brad’s red, white, and blue-themed paintings were featured on outdoorpainter.com, the home of Plein Air Magazine. |
