2021 SEPTEMBER ON-LINE CLASSES VIA ZOOMWe are really pleased with the response that our on-line classes have received. In lieu of classes this summer, we are holding our open studio and will be going on our Monhegan Island sojourn. Classes will start up again in September. MONHEGAN ISLAND GROUP EXHIBITIONBoth of us have works included in “Monhegan Island: Her Art and Her Artists” representing over 30 artists in a multi-medium show presented by the Corlis Gallery of American Art in Albany, NY. AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONWe are both honored to have works juried into the 88th Annual Hudson Valley Art Association National Exhibition and both of us won awards. Katy won the Jane Peterson Memorial Award for Still Life for her oil painting “Aspen Bough”. Brad won the Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff award for his watercolour “Independence Day”. This year’s show is held at the Lyme Art Association Gallery in Old Lyme, CT. The show runs from May 21 to July 22. As always, the show represents a beautiful collection of works in a variety of mediums from across the country. |
Additionally, Brad was honored to have received recognition from U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick. He received a flag that was flown over the United States Capitol with an accompanying certificate that reads, in part, "In recognition of Receiving the Award in Memory of Gus, Grace, and Ty at the 91st Annual Phillips' Mill Art Exhibition and For Your Outstanding Service to Our Community." Thank you to the Honorable Representative Brian Fitzpatrick and to everyone else for their continued support and interest in Brad’s work. |
